Running, jogging and walking underwater in a pool strengthens the leg and hip muscles - the quadriceps, hamstrings and gluteal - and helps develop cardiorespiratory fitness. The upper body also gets an overall workout.
KICK Swim Centre holds weekly classes to help you get in shape. No booking is required. We have 2 types of classes to choose from Aqua Aerobics & Gentle Exercise. For more detail on these classes, click here.

Aqua aerobics is the perfect way to exercise and make friends without putting too much stress on the body. Run by a motivating and qualified instructor, our water aerobics classes provide a low-impact exercise regime in warm water. This workout simulates muscles throughout the body while keeping them at an ideal 32-degree temperature. The pool is 1.1 m deep and fully enclosed.

We offer aqua aerobics classes suitable for people wanting to improve general fitness and strength in a low-impact environment, as well as more specific classes for core/leg strength.

Our Gentle Exercise class is especially beneficial for people with chronic pain, recovering post-surgery or starting out on their fitness journey. However, if you are looking for something slightly more challenging, try our Aqua Aerobics classes.

This is a aqua exercise class with more cardio than our general aqua class, but don't worry, it has variations for exercises for different levels of fitness. Lots of resistance work with water, cardio elements, lateral movements, jumps...and of course some great latin music to exercise to! An ideal way to improve strength and fitness in a safe and supervised environment.
A private one-on-one gentle exercise can also be arrange if the Monday 12pm class doesn't suit you. A 30 minute private exercise class is $40 for 30min. Enquire now.

ADULT SQUADS
We have 2 types of adult squads on offer:

Adult Fitness Squad | This squad is focussed on swimming for fitness. It is best suited for people that swim quite well and just want to swim laps to get fit under the supervision of a coach to help with correction and technique |
Women's Squad | This squad's name speaks for itself. A fun squad just for women to swim with other women. A friendly, often competitive, and always social and fun way to get and stay fit. |
ADULT LEARN to SWIM
Whether you are an absolute beginner swimmer, average swimmer or someone just looking to improve your speed & technique – we have it all. Speak to us about what you want to achieve and we will find the right class for you.
LANES for LAPS
KICK offers booked times for people wanting to swim (or walk) laps. These sessions are self-guided, but with our team ready to give advice if you want some. These sessions MUST be pre-booked as there are only limited times available. Sessions are booked in 30-minutes to 1-hour time blocks, and are in a shared space of other laps swimmers/walkers. Maximum of 4 people per lane. Exclusive lane hire is also available at a higher rate. NOTE: If you want stroke correction and swim coaching, please sign up for our Adult Learn to Swim classes or one of our Adult Squads.
LANES for ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
KICK offers booked times for allied health professionals (physios, exercise physiologists etc) that are looking for a space they can conduct hydrotherapy sessions. CPR, First Aid, Allied Health certification and Indemnity Insurance must be presented before booking. Lane hire for this service will start in the middle of March. We are taking expressions of interest now. If you would like to book lane hire with us, please fill in this form for commercial lane hire and we will get back to you with available times & rates.
